TRUTH
C.A. Curtis ©2024 Your truth, my truthWho’s to say?And does it matterWhat truth is anyway?
Who measures truthAnd by what?By feelings or passionOr by what it is not?
Once deceivedBy false realityWho pays the priceFor such insanity
Truth can be knownAnd matters stillWill you love truth moreThan your own freewill?
Why would you believePuppet Master who liedExamine the factsBefore you decide?
Can you claim innocenceIn our fallen raceLying, cheating, stealingWe all carry disgrace?
Weighed and wantingFor being deceivedCan you pay the priceFor doing evil’s deed?
Creator’s storyOf His love for youMocked as mythHidden from view
Ancient books revealAll was foretoldMessiah paid the priceTo lift your load
Right from wrongAnd what is realChoose truth and liveHear God’s appeal
Yet in this placeWhere dark forces reignThe road is roughThe just suffer pain
Whatever is, whatever wasWhatsoever will beIn Light of EternityIs shown for all to see
Truth will prevail And remedy our plightThe Light that shinesConquers the night
I Am Woman
C. A. Curtis © 2024 What is a woman?Suddenly who knowsSpeculation aboundsWherever that goes
Canceled is nothing newEspecially if youDare speak truthAs one of the few
For who wants to knowThey’ve chosen a pathBeen fooled and deceivedDeserve nature’s wrath
Faced with some factWhich to opinion brings doubtRage proves effectiveCarries big clout
Open your eyesReality takes a tollEven when mutilatedSquare peg is not round hole
Forgive my cowardiceEven canceled by selfLest the words which I speakShould endanger my health
Yet the words persistAnd trouble my mindI must not stand downAnd lose womankind
What is a woman?Female infant, girl childDeveloping daughter Beloved bride
Pregnant with babyGrowing insideBirthing MotherSoon nursing her child
Nurturing childrenGrandkids and Great-grandTeaching, helping, lovingThat is who I am
Fluid like waterIn a troubled seaOr encoded in cellsWhat can you ever be?
Simple binary is what isAs a part of birthrightPersonality is fluidSo we’ve no need to fight
Pretend if you wantYou have freewillBut when real woman needs man XY with healthy SRY fits that bill
And woman needs manfor complementarityWhere two joined as oneCo-create new humanity
Had I not known a manAnd birthed a precious childA woman I would beShould all truth be denied
A few with obscure partsNo one need refuteTo make that the normI must with vigor dispute
Science still mattersAnd proves sexperts have liedLet confusion be clearedAnd truths verified
Let it be knownTo one and allHe is heAnd me a she
I am ovum certifiedDNA XX qualifiedRefusing to be nullifiedReal Woman
Passion
C A Curtis ©2019
Passion untamed Aborts its own seed Or leaves orphaned children To fill unmet need
Who mentors the young Stealing innocence with pride?Rotting fruit falls to earthAnd proves they have lied
Our flowers are trampledThe garden undoneRebuild the walls Light darkness with the sun
Let children be childrenAnd in wisdom grow freeProtected from special interestsFoolish, Mocker or Naïve
Lay your shame on the altarLet your soul find restShare your wounded heartLove Truth—and be blessed
With love-tamed passionDo good in God’s sightBring healing to brokennessBear fruit for life
Great Censor
C.A. Curtis © 2021
Censor me, censor weCensor present, censor pastCensor this, censor thatCensor, censor, censor fast
Despots come And despots goWhen all is censored Who will know?
Oh Great CensorWhen did you fallAnd rise to speak The truth for all?
Flash and blingAttention getterTrade truth for lieMake brainwave litter
Trivia drowns treasureWith endless sound bitesPuffed then fluffedWith fiction lite
Algorithms sellThe party lineAll must bowTo your idol shrine
Then Great CensorHearing only your voiceCan you ever regretThat arrogant choice?
Hemisphere Harmony
C.A. Curtis © 2025
Two hemispheresWhen not worlds apartShow brain mattersFor mind and heart
Where lives wisdomTo comprehend?Where lives focusTo apprehend?
Where lives compassionFor us all?Where lives arroganceWhich invites our fall?
Who or whatDo we truly knowKnowing not What rules our soul?
Hemisphere as rightMust rule our left Lest pride drown peaceLeave us bereft
Left brain’sSum of partsIgnores depth and breadthOf loving hearts
Left, knows it allAllowed to ruleCrowns self as kingAnd plays the fool
Till nature demandsWe pay the dues For what we take Just to use
Hemisphere harmonyWith right brain insight Governs our pathTo walk in the light
Only an ancient metaphorGoats on the leftSheep on the rightPerhaps not?
Legacy
C. A. Curtis © 2022
Life brought forth and livedWithin a family treeWeaving our branchesWhile writing history
Though our paths divergeAnd then draw near againLoving, learning, knowingHearts sharing from within
Reunion of our soulsFeeling loved ones ever nearWith joyful communionLife purpose becomes clear
This inheritance we shareLiving faiths legacyNot of things but SpiritFor all of Eternity
